Openings for the Board of Trustees

The Monument Board of Trustees has six members and a Mayor that oversees the meetings. The Mayor has a vote on the Board that is equal to the other Trustees. All positions are voluntary and in addition to meetings twice a month, most Trustees serve on local and regional boards and committees.

At this time, the Board of Trustees and Mayor positions are all filled. If you are interested in running for a seat on the Board of Trustees or for the position of Mayor, you must meet the following qualifications:

1. You must be a United States citizen.
2. You must have lived in the Town of Monument for one year.
3. You must be at least 21 years old.

The next Board election will be held in April of 2010. At that, the Mayor’s position and three Trustee positions will be up for reelection. If you are interested in one of these positions, please contact the Town Clerk, Scott Meszaros for information on election procedures and deadlines.
