Travis Easton
Travis Easton has lived in Monument for over six years. He served on the Planning Commission and also on the Board of Trustees for over four years. Prior to becoming Mayor, Mr. Easton also served as a representative on the Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce and the El Paso County Major Thoroughfares Task Force.
Mayor Easton decided to participate in local government so that he could promote the quality of life within Monument while planning for its future. Mayor Easton realizes the importance of a regional approach and is the Town’s representative on the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments, which sets transportation priorities and allocates funding throughout El Paso, Teller, and Park Counties, as well as provides military impact planning and funding for senior citizen programs. Travis also serves as the Vice President of the Baptist Road Rural Transportation Authority, and is a member of the Colorado Municipal League’s Energy and Sustainability Committee, as well as the Fiscal Issues Committee. In addition to his public service, Mayor Easton is a Professional Engineer with a background that makes him particularly qualified to make policy decisions for the development of the Town’s infrastructure needs.
Travis has been married to his wife Maggie for more than seven years and they enjoy two beautiful daughters. Together, he and his family enjoy camping, fishing, hunting and many recreational activities. He loves Monument’s Small Town Christmas; especially sharing it with his wife and two daughters.
Trustee
Tommie Plank
Trustee Tommie Plank contributes viewpoints of a small business owner and supporter of downtown. As a partner in the Covered Treasures Bookstore, she often attended Town Board Meetings as a representative of the Historic Monument’s Merchants Association. She realized that there was a need for downtown business representation on the Board of Trustees and was elected in 2004. Trustee Plank serves on the Board of Adjustment and was a co author of the community’s white paper on downtown urban design guidelines. Trustee Plank is a supporter of the arts and serves on the TriLakes Views Commission; a group that arranges for public art throughout the community. Before being elected to the Trustee position, Ms. Plank served on the School District 38 Board for 12 and a half years.

Gail Drumm
Trustee Gail Drumm has been on the Board of Trustees for six years. Trustee Drumm adds public service to a very long list of diverse interests and achievements: Expert auto mechanic, National Chevrolet Judge, professional photographer, part founder of the Singles Ministry Conference, racehorse owner and breeder, railroad professional, high school special education teacher, and graphic design teacher. Trustee Drumm’s real interest is small towns; both traveling to them and living in one. Trustee Drumm currently serves as the Town’s representative on the Pikes Peak Regional Building Advisory Committee, the Town Cemetery Committee, and the Rocky Mountain Rail Authority. Mr. Drumm is a supporter of the protection and maintenance of Monument Lake and a strong voice for the viability of our local Senior Community.

Rafael Dominguez
Trustee Rafael Dominguez is an avid contributor to the community. Before being elected to the Board of Trustees in April of 2008, he served on the Town of Monument Planning Commission. Trustee Dominguez is the Town’s Mayor Pro Tem and runs the Board meetings when the Mayor is out of town. He also serves on the Colorado Municipal League’s Energy Issues Committee and the Municipal Issues and Trends Committee. Trustee Dominguez represents the Town on the Chamber of Commerce and the Baptist Road Rural Transportation Authority Board. Trustee Dominguez served in the Marine Corps from 1984 until 2006. He and his wife Lisa then fell in love with the small-town mountainous community of Monument and moved here with their two daughters. Trustee Dominguez completed his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2008.

Rick Squires
Rick Squires has been a resident of Monument since 1983. He purchased an old farm from John McDonald (old McDonald’s farm - eieio) and added to it in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Rick and his wife (Leah) live on the Town side of their property and once kept horses but now keep bees on the County side. Rick worked for GE Johnson Construction Co. for over 21 years where he was the project manager for such projects as the World Arena, Double Eagle Casino and the Plaza of the Rockies. Since leaving GEJCC he owns his own business assisting owners with the entire construction process, from selecting an architect and contractor to representing them thru the entire building construction. Rick likes golf, hiking and woodworking. You will almost always see him walking around town for the exercise.

Jeff Kaiser
Trustee Jeff Kaiser was appointed to the Board in August of 2009. One of three new Trustees appointed in 2009, he is interested in contributing his time and talent to make Monument a great place to live. Trustee Kaiser has been an electrical engineer for over 23 years. He has worked across the U.S. and in Canada and Israel for such companies as Motorola and Credence Systems.

Stan Gingrich
Stan was appointed to the Board of Trustees in October 2009. Trustee Gingrich holds a B.A. in Business, a B.S in Materials & Welding Engineering, and an MBA in Operations Management & Finance and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the U.S. and Canada. He leveraged his education and experience in managing operations to establish a consulting practice, serving clients in Manufacturing, Engineering, and Management. Stan specialized in helping underperforming companies achieve higher levels of performance and profitability and has served in several interim C-level roles. He is President of a local non-profit organization that seeks to provide aid to underprivileged children around the world. He is interested in using his experience to make a positive difference in the community and help provide vision, direction, and leadership. Stan enjoys ATVing, motorcycling, hiking, and cycling in the mountains throughout Colorado and has summited all 54 of Colorado's 14ers.
